Welcome to Year 6!

Miss Hopwood is the class teacher and Mrs Hopwood is our teaching assistant.

Year 6 are well underway with their brilliant Business Enterprise Project.  They have already created companies and have filled in job application forms for specific roles within their businesses.  We are now working on our ‘business plans’ ready to present to our panel of dragons!

Soon, Year 6 will be making their products and games ready to sell to the school community in a few weeks time.

Classroom Information

Please encourage your child to learn their weekly spellings.  They can practice these by writing the words into sentences (purple exercise book) and by completing the handwriting sheet as part of our weekly home learning.

We try to build ‘quizzing’ time into our week as much as possible.  Please continue to encourage your child to read.  Below you can find a link which provides information on how parents can help their Year 6 child with reading.  There is also a link for recommended reads for this age group.

All children are allowed to bring a named water bottle into school.  This should only contain water.
