Year 6 Residential to Winmarleigh started well. The children had two activities in the afternoon and were very hungry by 6pm!
Lower Key Stage 2 day trip to Winmarleigh
Despite the wet weather Lower Key Stage Two enjoyed a multi activity day at Winmarleigh PGL. It rained all day but this didn’t stop the children’s enjoyment. It was wonderful to see the children challenging themselves and supporting one another in their teams.

Year 5 representatives taking part in Baines Science competition in Science week. Can you see the shock on their faces when they thought about making real Egyptian mummies when they were mummifying an orange? We made a fantastic wind powered car, but weren’t quite so successful at making a long distance aeroplane or the tallest tower, although ours was very stable!
Well done team! We were awarded silver medals!

The Year 6 Eco-Committee pupils went by train to the 2019 Fair Trade Conference at County Hall Preston
The Year 6 Eco-Committee pupils went by train to the 2019 Fair Trade Conference in Preston.
They won a Fair Trade football by having more Fair Trade items in their packed lunches than any other school. In preparation they even baked flap jacks during the week with Mrs Swales, using Fair Trade products.
Year 5 loved the Quidditch sports!

Fundraising for NSPCC through Maths activities and non-uniform day when everyone dressed as a number or number problem.
Chris came and told us all about their work and about how Childline helps keep children safe.

Tickled Pink Pantos gave a enthralling show of Wizard of Oz in December 2018.
